Moving day is a very sensitive day and must be dealt with utmost care. A moving day is the day on which you are slated to leave your old house and shift into a new one. o Be Thoughtful of Your Old and New Neighbours: You must always be very considerate about your old and new neighbours. You must be careful that the furniture which is waiting to be loaded does not block road or driveway of any neighbour. Also, decide the leaving time during the daytime so that you won’t disturb the neighbours. Try not to spread the trash or furniture or debris on the sidewalk.

If it is a hot day provide them with some cold refreshments. If it is a cold one, just put some biscuits and hot coffee for them and see the difference in their behaviour. o Lock up your pets: If your pet is hysterical because of all the activity that is going around it, then just lock the pet up or confine it and put it in some place which is away from the activity so that it calms down. Also, it helps the movers as they don’t have to confront anxious pets or worse tumble over them carrying boxes.

o Proper co – ordination between you and the Movers: The first and the foremost goal after dispatching the movers with your stuff, is to get to the destination before they arrive. You should exchange contact numbers with the driver of the truck so that you may also be able to guide him if he cannot remember the route or the destination.
